We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.

For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.

School Policies
To ensure the smooth running of our school, guidelines need to be set within the framework set down by the Sydney Catholic Schools and various government legislation requirements. These policies can be viewed on the Sydney Catholic School website. Policies/procedures that have been developed by school staff can be viewed on this site.

Parent Communication
We communicate with parents through a fortnightly newsletter, the Compass student information system and app, emails, phone and social media. When required, parents can call the school office to arrange a meeting with a teacher, at a suitably mutual time.

Friends of Francis
Strong community ties are evident in our Friends of Francis parent group, who work with the school, parish and wider community to support our students. The parent committees voluntarily plan, discuss and run school social and fundraising activities for the benefit of the students of St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School Ashbury. Other events such as sports and swimming carnivals are dependent on the generosity of the parents and other school community members.

After School Care – SCECS
St Francis Xavier’s outside school hours care is available onsite and provided by ‘Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services’ (SCECS). For more information, contact SCECS via:
